Writing is Hard


There is a writer in
everyone, even me!
Composing a daily slice is hard work. Sometimes it is scary, taking risks with my writing and my topics. But it is a promise I made to myself. And now, I see myself differently as a writer and teacher of young writers.  My commitment to assisting children to write daily and find the power in their words is reaffirmed.

 I feel like I'm a baby in this whole writing thing. And now my head swirls with ideas of how to use my new learning. It is exciting to think about how much more I want to learn. I feel like I'm just getting started.

    Yes, a little scary - but then what a sense of accomplishment when you take a step. We learn so much about teaching when we become students again. Thank you for writing everyday!

    Diane, I have enjoyed reading your posts. You have made me laugh and also reflect. Writing is risky, but I have enjoyed learning from you and others. I plan to check in on your blog still. Will you be writing about baseball at all? MaryHelen

    I think a lot of us see ourselves as babies in this writing challenge. The biggest part is taking a chance and posting things we really think about and then others commenting on our posts. I felt like I was in a lot of mini-workshops this month. Keep growing!!!
